The flip doesn't trigger a sound - what's wrong?
Slam Dunk uses your device's accelerometer to detect flips. A few things to check:
• Flip sensitivity - open Settings inside the app and try bumping it to "High" if your flip motion is subtle.
• Accelerometer available - some tablets and the iOS Simulator don't report motion. On those, the app falls back to a large on-screen "DUNK" button.
• Motion permission (iOS) - if you denied the motion prompt during onboarding, go to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness and enable Slam Dunk.
• Device settings - on some Android devices, aggressive battery-saving modes can delay motion updates. Disable battery restrictions for Slam Dunk and try again.
How do I unlock a sound pack?
Tap a locked pack in the pack selector at the bottom of the main screen. The store sheet will open and let you buy the individual pack ($0.99) or unlock all five paid packs at once with the "All Packs" bundle ($2.99). These are optional one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
I reinstalled the app / got a new phone and lost my packs!
Open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases." Slam Dunk will re-check the same Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase and unlock every pack you've previously purchased. You'll see an "X packs restored" confirmation when it's done.
I bought a pack but it still looks locked.
First, force-quit the app and reopen it. If the pack is still locked, tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings while connected to the internet. If that still doesn't work, email us with your Apple or Google account region and the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
Does Slam Dunk work offline?
Yes. All 18 sound effects are stored on your device. Once you've installed the app and any purchased packs are unlocked, no internet connection is required for normal use. Internet may still be needed for buying packs, restoring purchases, or reaching the support links.
Does Slam Dunk work in silent mode?
Yes. Sound effects play even when your ringer is muted, so you can still get the full effect without getting your phone unmuted first.
I don't want haptic vibration on every dunk.
Open Settings inside the app and toggle "Vibrate on Dunk" off.
Are there subscriptions or ads?
No. Slam Dunk has no subscriptions, no ads, and no recurring charges. Every purchase is a one-time unlock tied to your Apple or Google account.
Who is Slam Dunk designed for?
Slam Dunk is intended for teens and adults and is not directed to children under 13. Parents and guardians should supervise any in-app purchase activity and device use.
Will Slam Dunk work on every phone or tablet?
Most modern iPhones and Android phones with an accelerometer should work. Devices without motion sensors, devices with restricted sensor access, and simulators may use the on-screen fallback button instead of flip detection.
Why doesn't "Basketball Pack" include specific team or league sounds?
Slam Dunk's packs use generic sport sounds so the app stays clear of any trademark or licensing concerns. The pack names describe the genre, not any specific league.
I found a bug or something isn't working right.
Please email us with a description of the issue and your device model (for example: iPhone 15 Pro / iOS 18 or Pixel 8 / Android 15). A short screen recording helps a lot, especially for flip-detection issues.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled directly by Apple and Google.
iOS: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase, and choose the Slam Dunk purchase.
Android: open the Google Play Store, go to your purchase history, and tap "Report a problem" on the Slam Dunk order.
